The author, Jonathan Boyd Hobbs, grew up in a small African-American community in (Hobbstown) Bridgewater, New Jersey where he attended Sunday school and church services. By age 16, he worked his way to head usher as a doorkeeper of the Lord.

After leaving his childhood church, Macedonia Baptist Church, at the age of 21, a deeper more spiritual love began to burn in his heart to learn about the complete gospel story of Jesus of Nazareth, the Christ and Messiah. His beloved late mother, Victoria Hobbs, who was his greatest friend and supporter in life, nurtured this yearning for the truth. By September 1981 after fully re-dedicating his life to God the Father, the revelation of HIS gospel story began to shine brightly in his heart and led him on a fantastic voyage of discovery. As a disciple of Christ, my missionary calling was now to create the perfect gospel teaching material for helping guide and develop, both young and old, the next generation of Christian worldwide missionaries. (The material contained in all projects are not written from the author's, traditional or denominational Christianity's viewpoint; but is strictly taken from the four 1st century gospel accounts.) A labor of love, the work was mainly created at nights and weekends, and completed by the summer of 1987. He worked a full time day job for the 29 years with a Fortune 500 company in the IT Data Communication field, going from the Distribution mailroom to a Technical Lead, as a Service Coordinator.

By the fall of 1990, the original 788-page manuscript began to take many forms, including coloring books for children of all ages, a version for teens and young adults, an illustrated collection of Bible notes, and the modification of the original manuscript for adults called Jesus of Nazareth, The Christ and Messiah: An illustrated Gospel Story. Based solely on the gospels of the King James bible, these projects are nondenominational in scope and able to be embraced by the Christian community at large.

He is happy to celebrate his son Joshua's marriage to his wife Andrea, and their joyful delivery of his first granddaughter, baby Olivia. Jonathan resides in Somerville, New Jersey with his wife and project Administrative assistant, Paula Gail.

90% of all net Profits from book sales will be directed towards Christian charities, programs for feeding the poor, and humanitarian aid. The remaining 10% will provide funding for administrative cost and future projects. One hundred percent of any donations or tithes to www.jesuslittleflock.com will strictly be directed to humanitarian work and will not be used for the above-mentioned administrative and project funding. My final goal is to turn Jesus' Little Flock website into a prosperous spiritual and financial Outreach organization. Today, we are supporting Feed the Children and a Soup Kitchen in the local area. (Once revenue from book sales begins to increase, free material for our missionary outreach services will be extended to nursing homes, hospitals and prisons.) Your feedback about this website would be greatly appreciated, and I can be contacted directly by email at JBHobbs77a@aol.com.
